A couple years ago Thrillhouse Records, who Prank has a long history of partnership with ( and congrats on their 19th anniversary!) , bought a record collection off one of the partners of "A MATTER OF IMAGE" a short lived label that put out two crucial Bay Area punk records CHRIST ON PARADE'S second 7" "Avarice" and ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT " No More Mr. Nice Guy" LP. The label quickly got overwhelmed, not all the mail orders got shipped ( Somewhere, in the recess of time 17 year old me is still sitting in Alabama, waiting) and the label collapsed. But in Buying the collection there were way more copies of "AVARICE" than the store could handle and since I released the COP releases, they allowed me to buy a handful of them. I've just been sitting on them. Of all the Christ On Parade releases, "Avarice" was always hard to find.
I have a bunch of records to put out this year, so am continuing some house cleaning and am selling these together with a copy of COP "lIve and Loud". These copies of "Avarice" were stored in a closet and the covers aren't mint, have a hint of aging and don't have inserts, but the vinyl is mint and I'll make Xerox of the insert from my original copy. The Covers of the copies are printed, but on thinner paper than my original cardstock copy.
You get the 7" and your choice of an LP or CD, and whatever else I can throw in.
We have some pretty exciting news about something with one of the members of COP to share later.
CHRIST ON PARADE "LIVE AND LOUD"
13 Tracks Recorded live on their 2007 West Coast tour on KFJC radio, this represents the set the "all original members" band played on both their West coast and European tours featuring classic tracks from all Eras of the band, with original Vocalist Barrie picking up some of the second vocal duties of the later material. It was re-mixed from its original broadcast, mastered by George Horn Mastering and come complete with a "Evil Live" styled Record jacket and insert. CHRIST ON PARADE's reunions, including a recent successful one of Japan, have been marked by dedication to presenting the band as they are and were- the equipment and the sound, attack and intent are not falsely "updated" or "modernized" and while this record does peek through a lighter side of the band inbetween tracks, it's very true to their original records and will stoke out both old and new fans.
