FOG "SPRING" is the second 7" EP by this peace punk band based in Te Ika-a-Māui & Te Waipounamu, Aotearoa. This is a pretty unique four song EP that feels incredibly fresh but captures the feel of early Crass Eps or a Bullshit Detector comp submission, a bit of PART 1 styled eerie-ness in the guitars, rhythmic drum beats edging on Post punk and then still has political, thoughtful lyrics. The packaging is a fold out 6-panel Crass style poster, but has an affinity in texture similar to early ADK EPs or something like JUNK SCHIZO, a timeless kind of classic punk vision. It's just a really cool record.
This was released in 2025, and I discovered it in doing my top ten list for the year. I really wanted a copy but only 195 were made. so I contacted the band directly and was able to buy the final 20 copies for Distro in the US.
